Your benefits start the first of the month after date of hire.

You can only make changes during the year (outside of the annual Open Enrollment period) if you experience a qualifying event or family status change. These include: A change in marital status A change in number of dependents (birth or adoption) A change in your eligibility status (i.e., full-time to part-time); A change in your spouse’s/domestic partner’s benefits or employment status that results in a loss or gain of coverage; or You become eligible for Medicare. If you experience a qualifying life event, you must notify the Talent Department within 30 days to be eligible to make changes to your benefits. If you fail to do so, you will be required to wait until the next annual Open Enrollment period to update your benefits.

You are able to make changes outside annual benefit enrollment if you had an IRS qualified life event (QLE). Examples of this are a martial change, birth/adoption of child, spouse/dependent lost/gained coverage, or had a death of a dependent within the last 30 days. You will need to submit proper documentation to the Talent Department showing proof of your QLE. Please make sure everything is submitted within 30 days of the life event happening.

You may only change or cancel benefits during the year if you experience a qualifying life event (see above). Otherwise, you must wait until the Open Enrollment period to change your benefits elections, which will become effective the following Jan. 1.

If you leave employment with CVA, your benefits will terminate at the end of the month of employment separation.

You will need to update your address through ADP, 401k, UBG and HSA.

When enrolled in the HDHP and HSA, you will receive the CVA contribution January 1st of each year.
